Highlights: This state-of-the-art, Cascadian architecture facility houses National Park Service administrative offices and living quarters for their staff. Ausland Group successfully brought together team members from as far away southern California and northern Washington to serve the parks needs. Facilities include: staff offices, curator’s facilities, laboratory, elevator, server and telecommunications infrastructure, conference room, and sewage conveyance and disposal system. The building utilizes several forms of “green construction” including:
  • heat absorbing metal wall cladding system to maximize energy absorption in winter.
  • hydronic solar wall to transfer energy from wall cladding system to heat water.
  • underground air tubes to lower ambient HVAC temperature in summer.
